About Eqweighty Training

Weight Discrimination and Weight Inclusivity

Weight discrimination is the inequitable treatment of people based on their weight and body size and is widespread within many aspects of everyday life, including healthcare, education, work and travel. Approximately 88% of people classed as ‘obese/overweight’ describe experiencing some form of discrimination because of their weight. Weight discrimination raises cortisol levels, leads to disordered eating, weight cycling and withdrawal from services.

Weight inclusive approaches actively ensure services, spaces and activities are welcoming and accessible for everyone of every body size.

At Eqweighty Training, we support practitioners and organisations in a range of fields to recognise and mitigate against weight discrimination in their practice through a range of training options.

We provide evidence-based, reflective and solutions-driven training around weight discrimination which can be tailored to your individual and/or organisation's needs and priorities. Our training provides space for discussion of feasible actions to begin embedding weight inclusive approaches to your work.

We provide certificates of completion which can be used as evidence of CPD engagement.
