Weight discrimination can unconsciously be written into key documents such as policies, standard operating procedures, and strategies. Marketing materials which are intended to encourage people’s involvement with services can also be inadvertently stigmatising. This can deter people from engaging in services like physical activity, public health screening or weight management programmes.
We offer audit services where we will review key materials and use a traffic light system to identify good practice and areas for improvement. We are conscious that embedding good practice isn’t always simple so our audits are always attuned to your organisation’s needs, priorities and constraints.
